Including an example with Athena holding her spear and shield, 20mm., in a modern mount; another with a Roman soldier, a trophy behind in the form of a cuirass, 20mm., one chip to the front; another smaller example with Athena, her attributes and an altar, 15mm., a chip to the edge; a banded agate intaglio with a scantily attired nymph in drill technique, holding a ball-staff, her robes flowing around her, 22mm.; a slight chip the underside; another smaller banded agate example, wearing a helmet and carrying a shield and sword, 17mm.; a carnelian intaglio with a male wearing a cap, holding a beribboned staff, kneeling before an open casket, 10mm.; seven other intaglios, mostly of carnelian, all engraved with figures, 11mm. average; eleven intaglios, mainly carnelian, some of hardstone and one of amethyst, variously engraved with animals and other subjects, including two of hippocamps, 11mm. average, all circa 1st-3rd Centuries A.D.
