including seven early figures of an early traditional clown with painted carved wood head and hands, 410mm. high; and a ventriloquist’s dummy with opening mouth, carved wood head, later clothing and hands, 485mm. high; a wizard with painted carved wood head and hands, 540mm.high; another clown with painted wood head and enormous hands, 520mm. high; the others smaller figures of a man and a woman, the painted head on rods, with later clothing and hands, and a demon; a complete set of six glove puppets by Anna Marita for the play "The Prince and the Wolf", moulded rubber heads painted by hand and hands, the elaborate fabric costumes each with the maker’s label, approximately 350mm. high; a old living marionette doll with check cloth cap, knitted cardigan and socks, carved wood hand and feet, the arms and legs with wire rod controls, the head supplied by the performer, 400mm. high; eight other figures, including a young girl who transforms into an elderly woman, and the snake for a snake charming act; three Aerotoys Minipuppets and three duplicates, all in original envelopes; a black back curtain for a puppet theatre with backdrop depicting an old town scene printed on fabric; canvases for a Punch and Judy booth in blue and white, red and white and orange and white canvas, purchased from Mrs. Stafford; and the red velvet curtains for Ray Elgar’s marionette theatre.
