INDIA - 1854 TO 1954 "THE FIRST 100 YEARS" COLLECTION. A substantial collection of mint & used stamps on leaves in a binder, the pages with printed spaces are mostly well- filled & untidy with old catalogue values in pencil and often with extra stamps stuffed behind others in the hingeless mounts. Amongst so much else we see the 1854 ½a blues (3), 1a reds (3), 4a cut to shape, 2a greens (3, incl proof with thin), the rest of QV includes complete sets, 1865 2a yellow mint SG 61, 1866 6a "Postage" used SG 66, later values to 2r, 3r & 5r mint SG 107/9, etc; KEVII to 5r ultramarine and deep lilac mint SG 143; KGV with definitives packed with inverted watermarks & many identified shades with 1911-22 range to 10r, 15r & 25r (1r, 2r mint), 1926-33 range to 15r (3, incl mint) & 25r (2), Commems with different wmk directions etc; KGVI similarly packed to 25r; OFFICIALS and other 'back of the book' very well represented incl 1866-72 2a orange, 4a green used SG O11/13, 1909 15r & 25r used SG O71/72, 1912-13 1r brown and green mint block 12 SG O91a, 5r mint SG O93; C.E.F. & I.E.F. issues, 1954 Commission sets etc. Condition mixed from poor to very fine but a great collection to dig through!
