Interior: A wood painted template of Georges Remi` (Herge`) character Tintin and his companion Snowy 106cm by 63cm These modern wooden templates painted in the ligne Claire (clear line) style made popular by Herge` were made by a stage artist from Pinewood studios. Tintin was created by Belgian artist Georges Remi`, who wrote under the pen name Herge. The first Tintin strip was printed in 1929 in the Belgian newspaper, Le XXe Siecle (the 20th Century) and was titled, Tintin in the land of the Soviets. The character became a massive success and was adored in countries throughout the world, eventually having his adventures translated into more than 50 languages. Stephen Spielberg also made a live action film in 2011. Herge worked on the stories for the character until his death in 1983.
