In other copies of the issue, the Balfour Declaration is printed under the headline "Official Sympathy" (see: Kedem catalogue no. 50, item no. 33). The Balfour Declaration, pledging British support for the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine, was signed by Sir Arthur James Balfour on 2 November 1917. A week later, on 9 November, the declaration was first printed in the press. 14 pp, 59 cm. Good condition. Cut margins. Folding marks. Tears to leaf margins.
