(Large 8vo) original tan cloth with large pictorial labels on front cover & spine, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. First Edition. Sinkankis 3702 - "A complex, large work, by far the best yet written on the subject..." Also noted by Sinkankis as the scarcest of Kunz's major works, containing information that does not appear elsewhere in the gemological literature. George F. Kunz (1856-1932) published extensively on the subject of precious stones. Lot Amendments Condition: An ex-library copy, with call numbers on spine, labels on endpapers and a few other markings. Labels chipped, some wear to cloth, hinges cracked; a few leaves loose; good. Item number: 282723
