(8vo) original tan buckram with illustrated spine and front cover labels. Rare book from an edition of only 26 copies. Signed on the presentation page by the author. One of 26 copies of this special Belgian Congo Edition, each copy produced was presented to important persons in the field. This copy was presented to Miss Mary C. Dickerson, Editor of the American Museum of Natural History Journal. "The scarcest of Kunz's major works with information that does not appear elsewhere in the gemological literature"--Sinkankas 3702-3. Lot Amendments Condition: Light finger soiling to buckram, a few small surface tears to front cover label, and a few more spots of wear to spine label; very light scattered marginal foxing; very good.
