Lacy, London, No. 856, circa 1800; Isaac Grasset & Cie, Geneve, circa 1880 The first with gilt-finished verge movement, chain fusee, pierced and decorative balance cock and foot, turned pillars, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the center field with painted image of an early steam locomotive and carriages, in plain pair case; the second with gilt-brass verge movement, pierced and engraved balance cock, chain fusee, square baluster pillars, white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, inner case with later engraving, the outer case repoussé and pierced depicting a classical scene; the third with gilt- finished verge movement, chain fusee, turned pillars, painted enamel dial with scene of a gentleman and horse beside a windmill and river, the sails of the windmill acting as the subsidiary seconds, outer chapter ring with arabic numerals, in plain pair case; the fourth with gilt-finished lever movement incorporating special winding stem system, bi-metallic compensation balance, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, in engine-turned case; all four watches signed on the movements 58mm, 49mm, 58mm and 51mm diams.
