Half-titles, titles in red and black. Frontispieces, skilfully hand-coloured at a later date, 7 plates, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with 23 plates, 4 hand-coloured. A Cosway-style binding in later tan morocco gilt by Bayntun (Riviere), upper covers with inset oval hand-coloured oval portrait miniatures, the miniatures bordered with a double-fillet and inset seed-pearls and four inset blue stones, the outer border inset with green and clear stones and seed pearls and elaborate corner-pieces of stylised violets, joined by gilt fillets, the lower covers with a simplified version of the outer borders on the upper covers, spines in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and fourth, the others with repeat decoration in gilt, gilt turn-ins, watered-silk liners, gilt edges.
