Collation: [1 8 2 10 3-5 8 6-26 6 . 8 . 8 27 10 ] (1/1 table, 1/8v blank, 2/1 text, 27/10r colophon, 27/10v blank). 206 leaves, quire 23 bound between quires 9 and 10, with contemporary note at end of quire 9 and 3 blank leaves bound between quires 22 and 24. 42 lines and headline, double column. Type: 2:105G. Initials, paragraph marks and capital strokes in red. (Small wormhole touching some letters, small hole in 6/2 with loss of a few letters.) C 6550; BMC II, 362 (IB. 6241); Goff J-188. One of the few substantial books printed by the Augsburg printer Herman Kästlin. In addition to the present edition and an edition of sermons by Johannes de Verdena (H 15975), Kästlin's output consisted chiefly of single-leaf printing. Provenance : Magdeburg, Dominican convent (contemporary inscription on first blank leaf); Arnold Faber Dominican at Madgeburg (inscription dated 1519); Erxleben (19th-century stamp on second leaf).
