Oblong, 12x15½, pictorial lacquered wooden boards with floral designs on covers, a 7x10" hand-painted inset in middle front board, mostly colored gray and gilt with some darkening highlights with three ducks, white moiré endpapers, all edges gilt. Mostly outdoor scenes, including: tea gardens, women tea ceremony and playing music, temples, “Lotus Flowers at Kamakura,” bridge in Takinogawa, Imaichi Road, Nikko, Chiuzenji Lake, Yokohama, “Daibutsu at Kamakura,” Miyanoshita, Hakone Lake, Nagoya Castle, Nagasaki, fabric dealers, Geishas, rickshaws, oyster and rice workers, etc. Lot Amendments Condition: A bit worn but scarce.
