Japanese Porcelain Arita Kakiemon Decagonal Bowl Late Edo Period, circa 1700, unmarked Finely painted with translucent enamels in the Kakiemon palette, the exterior with female figures in kimonos among banded hedges and flowering shrubs, the interior with two running boys, each enticing a kylin with a tethered peony blossom, the everted brown line rim richly decorated with an interrupted band of scrolling foliage.
