Japanese, late 19th-early 20th century. An assembled group of three woodcuts in color, including Night Rain on Karasaki from Eight Views of Omi, after Hiroshige Ando (Japanese, 1797-1858), unframed; Koshu Kajikazawa (Kajikazawa in Kai Province), from the series Fugaku Sanjurokkei, after Katsushika Hokusai (Japanese, 1760-1849), framed; and Portrait of a Woman from Beauty series, after Kitagawa Utamaro (Japanese, c.1753-1806), framed; Hokusai (largest) 14.25 x 9.5 in. (plate); 18 x 13.25 in. (frame). Provenance: Property from the Estate of Maxwell Mitchell Leichardt, Bowling Green, KY Condition: Night Rain on Karasaki: Adhered to backing on upper corners, slight discoloration, and small stain u.l. Koshu Kajikazawa: Slight discoloration from age. Not examined out of frame. Portrait: Some small spots of staining near top and center. Not examined out of frame.
