Japy Fils, Paris a French ormolu & porcelain mantel clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell, the backplate stamped with the maker's name Japy Fils along with the serial number 7028, the blue porcelain dial having gilt Roman numerals and gilded-brass decorative hands, the centre painted with floral decoration along with the retailer's name Page, Keen and Page, Plymouth, the shaped ormolu case with applied scroll sides to the centre drum, with the shaped matching blue porcelain panel having painted floral decoration, the top surmounted with an ormolu urn with matching porcelain decoration, all standing on a shaped giltwood base with a further ebonised oval base and glass dome, height 28cm, (clock), 40cm (including base and dome). * Biography Japy Fils being Louis-Frederic Japy.
