Jean Nicolas Laugier (French, 1785-1875), After Leon Cogniet (French, 1794-1880) and Gilbert Stuart (American, 1755-1828) Lot of Two Impressions of Washington, 1839. Identified in the plate, both with John Witt Randall Collection and/or Fogg Art Museum duplicate stamps on the reverse. Engravings on chine colle, plate sizes 29 1/4 x 24 3/4 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Foxing (primarily to the backing sheets), handling creases, nicks and tears to edges (some repaired and/or stabilized). Provenance: Property of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard Art Museum, sold to benefit the acquisition fund.
