Lot of 2 CDVs, featuring uncredited carte de visite of Jefferson Davis (1808-1889), sole President of the Confederate States of America, identified in period ink below portrait and autographed by Davis on verso, "Jeffer. Davis." Accompanied by commercially printed CDV of Stonewall Jackson, no studio imprint. Collected by the Bigland Family of England whilst living in the United States and Canada, 1860s-1890s. Condition: Davis image has lightened, with some light soiling on print and mount. Signature very fine. Jackson CDV with light soiling.
