I Say-You ugly brute!" Signed and titled in the plates, published by Thomas Agnew & Sons, London, 1865. Chromolithographs on paper, images sizes to 16 5/8 x 24 5/8 in., framed. Condition: Capital Finish with prominent foxing, all with toning, not examined out of frames. N.B. The four plates at hand were originally issued for the portfolio Hunting-Incidents of 'The Noble Science' by John Leech . The prints were after subjects included in Leech's exhibition, Sketches in Oil, at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly, June 1862. The portfolio was published by Thomas Agnew & Sons in 1865. Each print was inscribed on the mount with a facsimile signature, and title or caption in facsimile, with "Published by Thos. Agnew & Sons/London Manchr. & L'pool, Jany. 2nd. 1865" at lower right. The chromolithograph A Capital Finish , with an image size slightly larger than the other three, was embossed to simulate the texture of oil paint on canvas.
