An extensive collection of autograph letters and drawings sent to Edward Lacey
comprising fifteen autograph letters in ink or pencil, 44 pages 8vo, 4to and folio , 1931-1949, reminiscing about their art-college days, discussing their own work, his pieces shown at the Royal Academy and other exhibitions, his teaching at Pudsey, drawings reproduced in the “The English People”, and “English Cities and Small Towns”, giving many samples of his invented “Goya titles” such as “Lisbon peashooter repairer bending a glass haddock”, and sending copies of his humorous drawings, sometimes the originals “They are a sacrifice, but you are worthy of them”, the letters illustrated with 20 drawings, with another 110 on separate sheets, two photographs of his work, and two etchings captioned and signed, 1928 and 1930, various sizes
