Appleton, 6 soft-ground etched plates by and after Matisse, 20 reproductions of preliminary drawings printed on blue and yellow paper and inserted (very light stain to verso of title and margin of next leaf). Original brown cloth decorated in gilt, uncut, slipcase (upper inner hinge a little loose, slipcase rather worn). NUMBER 1,061 OF 1,500 COPIES SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. Provenance : JOHN HUSTON'S COPY.
