Early 19th century Comprising six bijin-ga: three by Eisen, one depicting a woman with a scroll and lighting a tall paper lamp from the series Toto Meisho, another from the series Hanameisho Higashi Hyakkei, and a sheet from a triptych, variously published, signed Keisei Eisen ga; two by Eizan depicting Hanaogi from the House of Ogi, published by Mikawaya (*1), and a mother and boy from the series Furyu Kodomo Gosekku, published by Maruya Jinpachi, signed Eizan hitsu and Kikukawa Eizan hitsu respectively; the last by Eisho of Kasugano, Miyako and Matsunoto from the House of Sumitama, with censor's seal kiwame, published by Yamaguchiya Chuemon/Chusuke, signed Eisho zu (*2). The smallest 35cm x 23.5cm (13¾in x 9¼in), the largest 39cm x 26 cm (15 3/8in x 10¼in), some mounted on cardboard. (6).
