KENESAW LANDIS SIGNED BASEBALL A spalding official National League baseball single signed on the sweet spot To Ralph Stolze with my good wishes, Kenesaw M. Landis, August 3, 1920 (may be 1926). In 1920 Landis was appointed Commissioner of baseball to deal with the scandal arising out of the 1919 World Series. Despite the fact that the accused players were acquitted in court, Landis banned them all from baseball for life. The ball has some spotting on the panel on the opposite side from the signature and is in otherwise very good to excellent condition.
