Kessel, a Russian born American, had a sixty year career as a photographer of industries and a photojournalist for Life Magazine. Included are aerial views of the river, boats and ships, ports, laborers, etc. Fourteen photographs measuring up to 11 x 14 inches, nine photographs measuring up to 20 x 16 inches. Thirteen photographs with Life stamp on verso, two photographs signed and dated 1946 on front. Some cropped, some signatures possibly editorial, some dated after 1946, multiples of some images.
