KESSELS, Willy [Portrait of Joris Van Severen]. S.d 38,5 x cm, signed in the lower right corner, stamp on verso. The most famous black/white photographic portrait of the Belgian politician Joris Van Severen (1894-1940), founder of the Flemish nationalist and solidarist movement Verdinaso. Willy Kessels (1889-was a Belgian photographer considered as most representative of "modernistic" photography. He became a friend of Van Severen in and realized photo and film reports for the Verdinaso. Joined: Leirens, Charles - portraits d'artistes. Préface de Robert Poulet.
