Travels through Germany, Bohemia, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy and Lorrain, 4 volumes, 1st edition in English, 1756-57, eight engraved plates, including map, light offsetting and a few marginal water stains, bookplates, contemporary sprinkled calf, rebacked, a little rubbed, 4to, together with Young (Arthur). Travels during the years 1787, 1788 & 1789; undertaken more particularly with a view of ascertaining the cultivation, wealth, resources, and national prosperity of the Kingdom of France, 2 volumes, 2nd edition, 1794, half title for volume II, three folding engraved maps (one hand-coloured), p.297 in volume I with lower corner torn away (just affecting one letter), bookplates of William Congreve Russell (1778-1850, Whig politician), contemporary half calf, a little rubbed, 4to, plus Samuel Ireland's A Picturesque Tour through Holland, Brabant and part of France; made in the Autumn of 1789, 2 volumes, 1st edition, [1790] (Qty: 8) Provenance: Library of Colin and Joan Deacon.
