Koltzov´, one page, 4to, Paris, 4th October 1934, to Jean Giono, in French. Koltsov states `You have no doubt learned about the recent works of the first All-Russian congress of Soviet writers chaired by Maxime Gorki.´, further saying `PRAVDA, the most important Soviet newspaper with close to 3 millions readers, is working on an inquiry asking the most eminent writers worldwide about the U.S.S.R literature.´, further again and before concluding adding in part `..now that the cultural relationship between our countries is closer and with the Russian population showing passionate interest in the eminent French writers..´ Paper with attractive Vidalon watermark.
