École de Cavalerie first appeared in 16° format in 1729-31, and was first published in a folio format two years later. The second folio edition was based on that of 1733 (described by Mennessier de la Lance as 'un des plus beaux ouvrages qui aient paru en France sur le cheval'), and used the same plates, but with a reset text and the addition of the 'Traité du Haras', which appears on pp. 306-318.
