Half-title, title in French, German and English with engraved vignette, text in French, German and English, 2pp. subscribers' list, engraved additional title and 134 views, map and plans on 94 leaves after Constant Bourgeois and others (comprising: general map dated 1814, plate nos.1-122 on 89 leaves [nos.17, 64, 65, 121, 122 misnumbered 15, 58, 57, 114, 115], 2 plans and 3 plates unnumbered [two of the plates lettered, showing 4 subjects, each with overslips]). Contemporary purple straight-grained half morocco gilt (spine slightly faded, extremities bumped). Provenance : John Waldie (1752-1832, of Egglescliffe, Yarm, Yorkshire, armorial bookplate). FIRST EDITION. A fine selection of plates with informative descriptions by the author, best known for his Voyage Pittoresque... de l'Espagne (1807-1820). Brunet III.714.
