lacks B2&3, Y2, and all after 2K4, title in woodcut border of the Tree of Jesse, full-page woodcut of Queen Elizabeth on verso, each p. in (mostly historiated) woodcut borders, some signed 'C I', first few pp ruled in red, []2 holed, A1&2 trimmed with loss to border, B1&4, G3, M1, O4, P1-4, Q1-R2, V1, X1&4, FF2, II1-4, KK3&4 torn, with more or less serious loss to text or borders, other marginal tears, some repaired, staining and marking, early ownership inscriptions at head of title and []2, to margin of title verso, on fly-leaf, and rear pastedown, several marginal notes recording family births and deaths, bookplate, blind stamp on rear flyleaf, contemporary panelled calf, rubbed & marked, [STC 6429, variant with 'To the Christian Reader' signed 'R.D.'], small 4to, John Daye, 1578; sold not subject to return.
