Vogel and Georges Scott, both featuring Uzanne, the broadsheet prospectus for the book, folded, first proofs of the title and half-title, and the author's etched compliments slip. Citron half morocco by Carayon, original front wrapper bound in. FIRST EDITION. NUMBER XI OF 50 LARGE PAPER COPIES on Whatman 'extra-fort', limited to 572 copies overall. With two works by Jules Janin: L'amour des livres . Paris: 1866. One of 204 copies; and Le livre . Paris: 1870. Number 46 of [102] copies. Two others by Uzanne: Nos amis les livres . Paris: 1886; Les zigzags d'un curieux . Paris: 1888. Uzanne's etched new year cards for 1891 and 1894 loosely inserted into the two books.
