LAMOIGNON, Chrétien-François (II) de, Marquis de Basville (1735-1789) -- Catalogue des livres de la bibliothèque de feu M. de Lamoignon... Paris: Merigot jeune, 1791-1792. 3 volumes, 8 o (200 x 129 mm). (Some light browning and occasional light offsetting, half-title in vol. I loose.) Contemporary calf (rebacked, worn). The catalogue of the Lamoignon library, began by Guillaume I de Lamoignon (1617-1677) and continued by several generations of the family. It was greatly enhanced by the addition of Nicolas-René Berryer's library, which the family acquired through inheritance. Consisting of autographs, manuscripts, fine bindings, prints, and maps, the library was acquired en bloc by Thomas Payne Blogie II, col. 18; North 357; Pollard, p. 96; Taylor, p. 249. (3)
