lot of 21, includes the following chromolithographed calendar: Peters Shoes 1925 on heavy card stock with tear away calendar at bottom, with chromo of little girl and puppy crossing a stream on stones entitled Safety First, with printed ad at top for Gust Shoe Store & Repairing Eaton, Ohio, 8.2" x 19"; PLUS Spring Brothers Company, Eaton, Ohio advertising Red Goose & Friedman Shelby Shoes, with chromo entitled Fit It Daddy showing little girl bring her broken doll to her cobbler father at his work bench, tear calendar intact with top cover sheet, 10" x 17"; PLUS a pair of 1938 French Bauer one with original mailing envelope entitled Not Just Another Calendar. This calendar has photo chrome of baby crawling entitled Yours to love and protect with large tear calendar below. The picture has a 12 month tear away under it for family budget, 11.25" x 14.5"; PLUS 2 large salesmen's sample calendars with 2 different chromos of Gen. Washington, one with Jan. on lower half and space between with Advertising Copy Will Be/Printed Here, second lower half is blank, both 30" x 44" and 1st has pasted price list on reverse entitled The OK Line; PLUS a girly calendar from 1953 with nude woman at dressing table entitled Captivating with printed ad for Campbell Distributing Co. Wholesalers National Bohemian and National Premium Beers with tear calendar below and metal top and bottom strips, 16" x 33.5"; AND 1968 embossed plastic bull with tear calendar below with printed ad on bull Carmack Livestock...Oxford, Ohio, tear calendar intact, 3" x 4". This lot also includes the following items a full sheet chromolithographed poster for Metropolitan Cigar Factory Puck Cigar with image of a very young boy wearing only top hat and tails, on slacks with cigar in one hand and double cigarette clamp in the other, printed by the Standard Lithographing Co., N.Y.; PLUS a half sheet chromolithographed poster for a theatrical production entitled Blue Jeans, printed by The Enquirer Job Printing Co., Cin., O.; PLUS 4 lithographed circus posters including Barnum & Bailey, Robinson, & 2 Sells-Floto, all B&W on newspaper stock and folded with separation at folds, heavy toning and margin wear; PLUS three half sheet tri-color posters for rat poison with image of a rat wearing buglers mask; PLUS two heavy card stock hangers for the same rat poison with kick stand backs, 13.6" x 22"; AND a full sheet Bock beer poster in truly terrible condition. Condition: 1st soil, short margin tears and 1 on left 1.5" long, Jan. missing, G++; 2nd soil and 2 margin tears, VG-; 3rd-4th Mint; 5th-6th central horizontal fold as issued and slight stains, VG-; 7th laid on Masonite, and tear cal. begins at May, margin wear, Poor; 8th staples on tear cal. oxidized, else VG; 9th quarter folds, stains and losses at margins, tears, Poor but worthy of restoration; 10th small losses along bottom margin, VG-; 11th-14th as above, Poor to Very Poor; 15th-18th central fold, else VG; 19-20, one with chipped corner, slight soil, VG to VG-; 21st, as above.
