Pre-war album of a Japanese-American family in San Francisco and Northern California, includes portrait shots, candid photographs, travel photographs, friends and family, also includes several wedding invitations, school photographs (including a wonderful group photo of the students at Helen Durant School in San Francisco in 1925, all in Peter Pan type costume). Also including a number of photos of young Asian-American men in the basketball uniforms of the Young Men's Buddhist Association (YMBA) from the 1930s. The autograph of singer Marian Anderson is mounted to one leaf along with the autograph of actor Hugh Herbert; also, a signed studio photograph of child actress Jane Withers and a candid photo of Miss Withers and her family.
