Size and weight constraints severely limited the number of flags of this size that could be taken on the mission. The mat is signed by CHARLES CONRAD, RICHARD GORDON and ALAN BEAN. The flag's lower right corner has been inscribed and signed: "Flown to the Moon, Apollo XII, Nov 1969, Alan Bean."
