Original photo-illustrated wrappers (spine and extremities expertly restored); black cloth folding case. Provenance : Arthur A. Cohen, publisher and author, and Elaine Lustig Cohen artist and art dealer (bookplate). FIRST EDITION. THE COHEN COPY OF MOHOLY-NAGY'S HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL NEW VISION MANIFESTO. Malerei is Moholy-Nagy's "first attempt to lay out his entire theory and program for photography, and ultimately, for the transformation of human vision" ( 101 Books ).
