LAUNCH VEHICLES – United States Launch Vehicles. NASA Facts (NF-20). Washington: GPO, 1969. Vintage poster illustrating the NASA rockets and engines needed to reach the moon, signed by astronauts. SIGNED and INSCRIBED with their individual rocket flight vehicle number(s) and mission numbers by Buzz ALDRIN, Walt CUNNINGHAM, Charles DUKE, Fred HAISE, and Edgar MITCHELL. An impressive illustration of launch vehicles developed by the United States with each placed side by side. From the smallest, Scout at 68 feet tall, through the mighty Saturn V at 363 feet. Included are the Atlas and Titan vehicles which launched the Mercury and Gemini spacecraft plus the Saturn I and IB rockets. The upper center has multi-color illustrations of rocket engines that include both solid and liquid propellant designs. Color poster, 21 by 32 inches, machine folded.
