LAURO, Giacomo (fl. 1584-1637). Citta dell'Aquila . Rome: 1600 Engraved bird's-eye plan of L'Aquila on a single Royal sheet, 382 x 512mm. Title at upper centre, key in a cartouche surmounted by the arms of the dedicatee, Fernando de Casteo, Conde de Lemos, at left, arms of L'Aquila at upper right corner, royal arms of Spain, arms of the dedicator Blas Pico. (Trimmed to plate mark and window-mounted, some light dampstaining.) A RARE AND FINE PLAN OF AQUILA. Lauro was an acomplished Roman engraver.
