Usual folds, else fine, with an authenticity letter from Julian Browning. In this letter, Lawrence asks if Williamson will be free the following Sunday at Skirr Cottage as "I am to be free all day (free days are like rubies to me now) ... Life is being pretty hectic here. Paper up to my eyes and jobs steadily accumulating. All R.A.F. work, of course." Lawrence befriended the naturalist and author Williamson in 1928 after the publishing of his influential book Tarka the Otter and the two corresponded for many years. Lawrence took the name Shaw and began signing letters as such after 1923. C
