Leader of the Irish Party Redmond (John) M.P.: A comprehensive Scrapbook, with press cuttings, programmes, telegrams, photographs etc. relating to his visit to the United States in 1910, carefully compiled in a quarto mor. backed cuttings book (spine perished) and reputed to have been assembled by Mrs. Redmond. There is also a very fine original pen and ink drawing of Redmond by Krafmer on card and laid down on inside front cover. a useful compilation dating from the period when Redmond was at the height of his influence, still the unchallenged 'Leader of the Irish People'. As an album, w.a.f. N.B. The National Library of Ireland has some similar albums from other events in Redmond's life, this the American Trip appears to be lacking from that series. Provenance: Redmond Family.
