ISTC iu00000600. – Angelus de Ubaldis (Angelo degli Ubaldi; 1328 bis ca. 1407) war wie seine Brüder Baldus und Petrus ein in seiner Zeit berühmter, in Perugia, Bologna, Florenz und Padua tätiger Jurist (vgl. Jöcher IV, 1478). Bei der "Lectura de Authenticis", auch unter dem Titel "Super Authenticis" bekannt, handelt es sich um Kommentare zu den "Authentica", einer Sammlung von 134 Constitutiones des Justinian. Der im Spätmittelalter sehr geschätzte Kommentar des Angelus de Ubaldis erschien zuerst um 1475 in Rom (GW M 48369 und M 48371, beide nicht datiert) und erlebte bis 1500 mehrere Auflagen, die alle sehr selten sind. Im Besitz öffentlicher Institutionen sind von der vorliegenden Ausgabe weltweit lediglich zwölf Exemplare nachweisbar, einige auch inkomplett oder fragmentiert, zwei davon in Deutschland (Göttingen und Weißenburg; kein Exemplar in der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek München). – Sehr breitrandig. – Weißes erstes Bl. mit kleinem Vermerk d. Zt. und restauriertem Ein – und Ausriß an der unteren Ecke; alle Bl. in der vorderen Hälfte des Buchs mit großem, tls. bis zur Seitenmitte ausgreifenden und stellenw. verfärbten Wasserrand im Bug, Bug durchgehend etw. gebräunt und vereinzelt mit kleinen Papierbrüchen, diese tls. restauriert, sonst nur leicht fleckig und gering gebräunt. The comment by Angelus de Ubaldis very appreciated in the Late Middle Ages was first published at Rome around 1475 (GW M 48369 and M 48371, both not dated) and had several issues up to 1500 that are all very rare. From the present edition there are only twelve copies recorded all over the world in the possession of public institutions, some also incomplete or in fragments, two in Germany (Göttingen and Weißenburg; no copy in the Bavarian State Library Munich). – Very wide-margined. – Blank first leaf with small contemporary note and restored tear and tear-out at lower corner; all leaves in the front half of the book with large waterstain, here and there discoloured at joint, partly reaching page centre, joint somewhat browned throughout and occasionally with small paper perforations, the latter partly restored, otherwise only slightly soiled and minimally browned. – Cardboard of the late 19th century with spine label (turn-ins a little damaged; slightly rubbed and scuffed).
