Highlights include: 1. LEE, ROBERT E. Autograph Letter Signed (“R.E. Lee / Genl”), 1 p, oblong 8vo, n.p., September 13, 1863, to General William Pendleton [1809-1883], regarding troop movements, leaf creased and toned, trimmed at all edges, tipped at corners to album leaf. Lee writes Pendleton, his Chief of Artillery, ordering him to move troops quickly in preparation for a series of skirmishes along the Rapidan river. “I wish you to go with the Artl. Tomorrow and at daylight towards the Rapidan river & see to its being placed in position to defend the fords. Ewells Corps will move towards [?] & Hills toward Rapidan.” 2. DICKENS, CHARLES.
