Unobtrusive archival tissue restoration to folds, additionally mounted with the same archival tissue. Framed with a plaque and reproduction photograph of Lincoln. A copy of the COA from James Spence Authentication, certification number B81786, will accompany this lot. An example of Lincoln's early legal work, dating from his partnership with Stephen T. Logan. The present document is a writ of summons in the case of Jefee Langley vs. John C. Goode, in which Lincoln, on behalf of his firm, requests the clerk of the Christian county circuit court to "please issue a summons in the above entitled cause," which appears to be a grievance for a debt of $900.00 and damages of $100.00. The bottom portion of the document is an affadavit, signed by an unknown party, pledging "security for costs in this cause." Estate of Alfred Rowe
