Lincoln, Abraham, as sixteeenth President Printed broadside document (16 3/4 x 21 1/2 in.; 547 x 425 mm) signed ("Abraham Lincoln") and countersigned by the Secretary of State ("Willam H. Seward"), accomplished and signed in the hand of the notary public James Taylor [Washington, D. C.], 24 August 1864, being a 4-language ship's paper for the whaler Laetitia of New Bedford, Massachusetts, embossed seal of the United States affixed to the bottom margin along with a 5-cent stamp and the embossed stamp of the notary; a few short fold separations neatly repaired on verso.
