Linguæ Latinæ liber dictionarius quadripartitus. A Latin dictionary in four parts: I. An English-Latine, II. A Latine-classical, III. A Latine-proper, IV. A Latine-barbarous: wherein the Latine and English are adjusted, with what care might be, both as to stock of words and proprieties of speech. London: Printed for T. Basset, J. Wright, and R. Chiswell, 1678. 4 parts in 2 volumes. [Circa 1351 pp]. Two frontispieces and two maps. 4to (250 x 195 mm). Contemporary full red morocco gilt extra, spines gilt lettered with floral devices, a.e.g. Leaf Aaa1 in volume 1 with a short closed tear repaired at fore edge margin, a few margins age toned, board edges rubbed, else a very attractive example. First edition, this copy on thick paper with red-lined title pages may have been a deluxe issue in a fine contemporary binding; with ownership signature of Edward Henry Litchfield, 1678, to 2nd volume flyleaf.
