Wood, Bengal Nagpur Railway Battalion, Auxiliary Forces India and Mesopotamia Railways British War and Victory Medals (16041 L.S. Ftr., Meso. Rys.); 1939-45 Star; Burma Star; War Medal 1939-45, these officially impressed (52206 C/S/Maj. E. R. Wood, B.N. Ry. (D. of I.) Corps); Volunteer Force Long Service (India & the Colonies), G.V.R. (L. Cpl., 1 B.N. Ry. R. (A.F.I.)) officially impressed naming; Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue, India (Sgt., B.N. Ry. Bn., A.F.I.) mounted court style for wear, nearly very fine and better (7) £160-200 Footnote Served in the Great War with the Mesopotamia Railways. Post-war, employed with the Bengal and Nagpur Railways and served with the Volunteers. Awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal by I.A.O. 656 of October 1930, and the the Efficiency Medal (India) by I.A.O. 2498 of October 1942. During the Second World War he served as C.S.M. in the regiment. With some copied research.
