FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Loos on the front endpaper: "To dearest Jessica with much love from Anita October 1925." Loos' novel was adapted into a Broadway musical and, in 1953, a film version was released starring Marilyn Monroe in which she performs her famous rendition of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend," Jane Russell, and Charles Coburn.
