Los Castillo copper and inlaid stone chafing dish Print Mid 20th century, impressed mark to finial ''Handwrought / Hecho en / Mexico / Los Castillo / Taxco'', marked to underside of platter ''Los Castillo / Taxco'', the domical copper lid centered by an abstracted leaf-form malachite-inlaid finial, over a circular dish inset into a wooden-handled bowl supported on tapering rounded triangular feet joined by an X-form stretcher centered by a removable burner, raised overall on a circular platter, the chafing dish: 16'' H x 14'' Dia.; the platter: .75'' H x 17.5'' Dia., est: $500/800 Condition: Overall good condition, with general marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age. Scattered minor spots of verdigris. Losses to malachite inlay on finial near base. Minor bending to interior rim of lid. Scattered shallow dings; the largest a 1'' x 2'' dent to lower dish and a .5'' x .5'' ding to platter. One leg bent slightly outward. Platter with a 3''-long section of rim slightly pushed in.
