Lot consists of (A) Standard configuration. Dated 1943 on the left side of the butt socket. All matching numbers including the magazine. Not import marked. CONDITION: Appears unissued. Retains 90% black enamel type painted finish. All markings are clear. No cartridge marks on bolt face or in chamber, slight wear on follower of magazine from bolt body. Wood is fine with minor handling marks and a couple chips at the edge of the grip. Fine bore with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. (B) Dated 1950, last year of production. Made at Long Branch arsenal in Canada. Matching numbers on the butt socket and bolt. Proper Canadian military sling. One magazine. Not import marked. CONDITION: Retains 85% finish overall with some light handling marks. All markings are clear. Wood has some dings and handling marks. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. (C) "U.S. PROPERTY" marked on the top of the receiver. Dated 1942. Made by Savage. Matching numbers on butt socket and bolt. Proper squared S marks for Savage on most parts including wood. Not import marked. There are no British proofs on the barrel at the muzzle. No bayonet lugs, does not appear to have ever had any either. Magazine has "22" stamped into the left side, however it is otherwise a standard .303 magazine. CONDITION: Retains a pleasing cleaned look to it with some minor areas of light surface rust. All markings are clear. Wood is fine with minor handling marks. Bore is good with strong rifling and light pitting. Fine mechanical function.
