Lot consists of: A) Circa 1916 Cabinet image of Sgt Maj Gilbert Roos, Troop "K" 7th US Cavalry. Sgt Maj Roos is pictured mounted wearing his tropical/summer uniform for his expedition into Mexico chasing Pancho Villa during the Punitive Expedition. B) Large format albumen image of two mounted enlisted cavalry troopers taken at Camp Cuba Libre, Florida, in August 1898. This great image shows a wonderful side profile view of the troopers with their Krag carbines, wool campaign shirts, and early "snowflake" vent campaign hats. C) Large format albumen image of two companies of Indian Wars era US Cavalry troopers on the Western frontier. This is a rare view as most images from this period are of individual troopers or maybe a mounted pair. You can clearly see their horsehair plumed helmets, swallow-tailed guidons and swords. D) Contemporary print of Span-Am era trooper lying on the ground next to his horse. All are professionally framed and matted. CONDITION: Excellent overall. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Wagner cavalry museum collection. Condition: (Excellent).
