Corbett and business-related activities Author: ** Place: Oregon & elsewhere Publisher: Date: 1870 onward Description: Various sizes, on various colors of paper, the majority on printed billheads, letterheads and business forms, some wholly manuscript. Revealing archive covering the later years of the business activities of Henry Winslow Corbett (1827-1903), who ventured to Oregon in 1851 as a 24-year old businessman, and expanded from retail into transportation, banking, and eventually politics, serving as United States Senator from 1867 to 1873. Countless receipts, invoices, business letters, deeds, requests for payment, mortgages, and much more is present. Lot Amendments Condition: Varying amounts of wear; a number with black paper remnants on versos where preserved in album, a few with holes from removal, some still affixed to black leaves; very good overall.
