Place: New York Publisher: Date: Various dates Description: Includes: The Divine Enchantment: A Mystical Poem. Signed "Yours, Jno G. Neihardt, May 12, '11." Paper spine label. 1900. * Man-Song. Signed on front flyleaf, "Yours, Jno. G. Neihardt, May 12, '11." Four-line poem in Neihardt's hand, initialed by him, on rear flyleaf. A few holograph corrections by Neihardt to the text, in pencil. 1909. * The River and I. Signed by Neihardt on the title-page. Owner's inscription on front endpaper. 1910. * The Stranger at the Gate. Inscribed "To Noble Kreider, with affection, Jno. G. Neihardt," above which is printed slip "From the author," and holograph date February 16, 1911. Laid in are two programs, one of them inscribed and signed by Neihardt. 1912. * The Quest. Inscribed on the front free endpaper, "Affectionately from John to Noble, November 9th, 1916." Pencil inscription on piece of paper affixed to front pastedown notes "First copy out. Jacket not yet printed. Jno." 1916. * Two Mothers. Inscribed on the half-title "To Noble, with love, from Jno., Branson, 2/1/'21." Lacking front free endpaper. 1921. * Early poetry and prose from the author who is best known for his 1932 work, Black Elk Speaks. Lot Amendments Condition: Some shelf wear, very good or better.
